Bertie and Poppet @bertieandpoppet , Chickenwood Studios @lfdubois and Knitography @knitography/@p4chen (all on Instagram) have the pleasure of once again sharing our latest collaborative handmade kit – «Melancholy Thistle» in celebration of our Friendship and of our time spent together in Edinburgh, at Edinburgh Yarn Festival. This kit was especially created for makers that longed to take part in the festival this year, but were unable to attend. 
 
This beautiful «Melancholy Thistle» handmade kit includes:

1 «Melancholy Thistle» wedge shaped, zippered, fully lined project bag made from quality cotton fabrics. The bag is boxed out with soft interlining, which allows it to stand upright. (Measurements: 28 x 18 x 11 cm wide at the base / 11 x 9 x 4.5 inches at the base). 
 
The bag is embellished with a handmade, uniquely designed, coordinating «Melancholy Thistle Zipper Pull» made from locally sourced, Norwegian Birch.

3 coordinating - 50 gram skeins of beautiful 100% Norweigan wool Rauma Finull/PT2 garn - (1- natural, 1-soft green and 1soft purple -150 grams total with a gauge of 26 stitchs x 10 cm on 3mm needles) perfect for knitting mittens! 
 
Within this kit we also hightlight and recommend the «Melancholy Thistle Mittens» pictured within the kit. These mittens were designed by Ann Myhre, a Norwegian designer and member of the «Vottelauget». Each kit comes will come with a discount coupon code to purchase the mittens directly from Ann. 
 
1 set of handmade «Melancholy Thistle Stitch Markers» uniquely designed, coordinating progress keeper and stitch marker set. The set includes clever beginning of round and end of round markders and matching stitch markers all made from locally sourced Norwegian Birch.

1 small bar of handmade Wool Wash soap, tucked into a linen, drawstring bag. This bar is especially made for washing natural fibers. Made with added lanolin and scented with lavender essential oils, good for your wool and your hands.
