Hello everyone!
Thank you for all of your comments last Wednesday.
Sharing your looms, experience and aspirations to weave.
Some of you have some amazing knowledge and tools!
I have so much I wish to share with you.
But this week, I only have time to show you my finished object.
This is my first week back to work on the farm after the holidays and I have a lot to do within my little shop.
Anyway, this woven piece will become some lovely practical towels.
I used a natural, local linen. Which I naturally dyed using Woad, in combination with the natural colour. I so enjoyed working on this project!
Now I will just need to find the time to sit down and sew the towels.
My next project on the loom, I will try to document the steps to support those of you that are curious beginners.
I am planning to start that as soon as I can, later this week.
I hope you are well and taking care!
Let me know where you are in your own weaving process.
if you have been inspired to take out your looms and begin a new weaving project.
Warmest regards from the farm,
Patricia x
Looks lovely , how I love hand woven towels!! linen is the best!!
Very nicely woven. They will be great to dry with. Nothing dries like linen. I even have a bath towel in linen, no I didn't do that one, but have done plenty of hand towels.
