Greetings from the farm,
Tomorrow night we will have a final check in opportunity before my time away from farm work.
Just to make sure that everyone is all set with their knitting and weaving projects, for the next couple of weeks.
I will use the beginning of our time together to offer any support, if needed. I guess most of you have taken direct contact, but do let me know when you register.
We will then move on to a discussion around my pocket project and the reading of the book The Pocket.
I will share an update and I hope that others will too!
Above you see a beautiful, traditional Norwegian "fjord" pocket. Embroidered with Norwegian "lyng" or heather. This is one of my very favourite autumn flowers and I adore this woollen pocket.
"Lyng" turns the forest into the most magical colour when the seasons change from late summer to autumn.
If you are interested in participating in the community check-in tomorrow evening, please register your participation HERE
Velkommen!
Warmest regards from the farm, Patricia
Hi Patricia, I have read only a few pages of The Pocket so I didn’t have anything to offer today at our check-in. However, I started reading Dinner with Edward and with the context of the story being in New York I surely do relate to the way the description of l in New York City is described, riding the subways-having to move your car every other day to accommodate street cleaning etc.. . The relationship between Edward and his lady friend is interesting in how Edward explains the art of cooking in relation to his dinner companions current life situation. Her name escapes me at the moment. When one reaches old age it is hopeful that one has…
Was there an email link to the check in?
